Job Search Events

FAS Career Forum

Over 140 companies and organizations come to campus to inform Harvard students about job prospects and industry culture in fields that include technology, government, media, healthcare, education, retail, engineering, consulting, and financial services.

Career Days

Hosted by alumni in their places of employment, Career Days offers students an opportunity to converse with industry leaders, form an active search network, and gain insight and focus in academic planning. All types of education organizations participate: nonprofits, for profits, media, policy, research, and international. Scheduled during school breaks, this series of events takes place in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY during the winter, and Washington, DC in the spring.

Virtual Career Days

Virtual Career Days offers students the opportunity to gain career management guidance over the internet, conversing with industry leaders from Los Angeles, CA in the education, media, policy, research, nonprofit and for profit fields.

FEP Internship Fair

Field Experience Program and Career Services Office join early in September to offer students and employers a convenient way to meet and find mutually beneficial internship opportunities for the upcoming academic year.

K-12 School Expo

At the K-12 School Expo, we invite public, charter, and private schools to our campus for the day to engage with students and alumni directly, in a more relaxed format than information sessions and scheduled interviews.

Social Impact Expo

At the Social Impact Expo, we invite nonprofit, media, international, consulting, and policy firms to our campus for the day to engage with students and alumni directly, in a more relaxed format than information sessions and scheduled interviews.

MERC Education Career Fair

As a member of Massachusetts Educational Recruitment Consortium (MERC), which brings together a nationwide selection of public and private school systems with licensed and license-eligible jobseekers in a range of educational fields, our office encourages students and alumni to take advantage of this off campus event held during public school spring break.

Employer Information Sessions

Throughout the year, our office sponsors Employer Information Sessions (EIS) where we invite representatives from a range of fields, on an individual basis, to come to campus and present career path options offered by their organizations to students and alumni in group format.

Panels

Our office brings together a range of experts in panel format to offer students and alumni a variety of perspectives instrumental in career planning.

Primers

During the fall semester, our office holds field-oriented sessions that allow students the freedom to explore, without judgment, industries or professions they are considering. Each section covers basics to success, position selection considerations, career trajectories, salary ranges, and top employers.
