	Students seeking a November Master of Education in Passing or Certificate of Advanced Study in Passing are expected to submit degree applications by this date. All other students graduating in November should return Confirmation of Graduation Information forms by this date. Students submitting after this date will be charged a $10 late fee.

	HGSE Doctoral Student Orientation
	A three-day mandatory orientation for incoming doctoral students to the cohort, HGSE and the people and tools that will help them succeed.

	Registration Office. 13 Longfellow Hall. Students who fail to register on this date will be charged a late-registration fee of $25, plus an additional $10 for each week thereafter.

	2:00pm-6:00pm Registration Check-In for Incoming Students
	Registration for all incoming and first-year students at the Gutman Library. Students who fail to register on this date will be charged a late-registration fee of $25, plus an additional $10 for each week thereafter. Location: Gutman Conference Center.

	Courses dropped after this date will appear on transcripts. No course can be dropped after its last meeting. Courses in other faculties may be subject to different deadlines and rules; refer to the registrar for information. Exception: Modules must be added or dropped before the beginning of the third class meeting.

Last day to file grade preference for HGSE fall and yearlong courses.

	9:30am-6pm Registration Check-In Day in the Registration Office, 009 Longfellow Hall.
	Degree candidates who were not registered for the fall semester are required to attend registration check-in. Degree students who were registered for the fall semester are not required to check in on January 25, but are expected to submit spring semester course enrollment forms, which will be mailed in January, by the February 1 deadline. Doctoral students who are expected to graduate in June are expected to file a spring term course enrollment form (and attend registration check-in if not registered for the fall semester). All non-degree students, including those who were registered for the fall semester are required to attend registration check-in. Students who check in after this date will be charged a $25 late registration fee, plus an additional $10 for each week thereafter.

	Name Change and Program Change Deadline
	Name Changes: In order to change a name as it officially appears at HGSE, students must submit a name change form, along with appropriate documentation. The submission deadline is April 30. The form is available on MYGSE in the Forms portion of Academic life and in the Registration Office. Program Changes: In order to change a program or concentration, students must submit a petition for change in degree program form. The submission deadline is April 30. The form is available on MYGSE in the Forms portion of Academic Life.
