Director's Message

From Judith McLaughlin, the Higher Education program director:

Welcome to the Higher Education Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. We constitute a vibrant community of students, faculty, and alumni with a common interest in the study and practice of American higher education. The core mission of the Higher Education Program (HEP) is to enhance students' understanding of higher education policies and practices, to familiarize them with leading theories of organizations, leadership, economics, and planning, and to prepare them for an array of positions in higher education administration, policy and planning.
