Licensure

Licensure through R&P

The Risk and Prevention Program has been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education to prepare students for initial licensure as School Guidance Counselors, (PreK-8, 5-12) or School Adjustment Counselors (all levels) upon completion of the R&P CAS program.

Risk and Prevention alumni should contact Alicia Redemske, the program coordinator, to discuss their eligibility to apply to the CAS program.

For complete information about licensure, visit the Risk and Prevention section of the Graduate School of Education’s Educator licensure site. FAQs about licensure through R&P are also available, as is contact information for help with licensure issues and links to a variety of licensure resources.
