Virtual Events
Virtual Information Sessions enable prospective students to learn about HGSE and specific programs of interest using web conference software. You have the opportunity to hear from and engage with program faculty, alumni, and/or students. The session typically involves a presentation and question-and-answer period. System requirements for the web conference software are listed at the bottom of this page.

Virtual Information Session Requirements:
- Ensure that your computer satisfies the minimum system requirements.
- Ensure that you are using the computer on which you will attend your Elluminate Live! session, and that is it connected to the Internet.
- Ensure that you have a microphone, speakers or headset to take full advantage of the audio capabilities during the session. This may be optional for some so please check with the organization or instructor hosting the session.
- Ensure that you are an administrator on your computer and can install software. If you are unsure, please contact your system administrator.
Installing the Required Software
There are three steps with joining an Elluminate Live! session. Follow the information in the “First Time Users” section of our Support page.
- This page will indicate if you have Java installed. If you do not, follow the instructions to install Java.
- Click on the link to join the Configuration Room. This will test your connection and allow you to configure your audio.
- Review additional materials to learn about Elluminate Live!
