Fellowships & Grants

A number of need-based and merit-based awards are administered through the Financial Aid Office. These awards are normally tied to either the admissions application, the financial aid application or both, but generally do not require an additional application process. Additionally, the HGSE Financial Aid Office often works with the Harvard Committee on General Scholarships to identify possible award nominees for funds administered by their committee.

The HGSE External Fellowship Database also provides extensive outside graduate funding information, and is mostly geared towards doctoral students. An abbreviated listing (332KB pdf) of the database, organized by deadline, is available online.  The full searchable electronic database is contained on two computers in the Reference/Research Department in Gutman Library.
