Alumni ServicesLibrary Access and BorrowingHGSE AlumniAfter graduation, HGSE alumni may continue to use the library and to borrow materials from the collection. To apply for a HGSE Alumni Library Card, please fill out the online Registration Form or fill out the registration form in person at the Gutman Library Circulation desk. To update your contact information, please use the online Change of Address Form. Other Harvard AlumniAlumni of other Harvard schools may present identification at the door and sign in to use materials from Gutman's Collections in the library. For borrowing privileges at Gutman, please see information on Special Borrower cards. Privileges for HGSE Alumni at Other Harvard LibrariesWidener LibraryHGSE graduates are allowed 6 days of stack privileges each year and may borrow 6 books per year at no charge. Alumni may purchase a Harvard College Library Special Borrower card; fees vary. Electronic ResourcesAt Gutman LibraryWhile visiting the library, HGSE graduates have full access to all of the electronic resources available on site, including education and psychology databases, and to thousands of other research databases, electronic journals, newspapers, and more. Off-Site Access to Electronic ResourcesTo support the work of our alumni, Gutman Library and HGSE Alumni Services offer our alumni access to selected electronic resources. These include ERIC, Education Abstracts, and Academic Search Alumni Edition. To register for access, please complete the Alumni Access form. Already registered? Click HERE to access! HOLLIS Catalog, Harvard's online catalog of books, journals, and much else, is open to all. Electronic Resources available through Public LibrariesMany public libraries throughout the country provide access to electronic resources within their library and remotely. Contact your local public library for more information or check their website. Most Massachusetts residents can access a number of online databases through the Massachusetts Library Information Network, using the barcode on their public library card.
