Reserve CollectionThe Reserve Collection, located at the Circulation Desk, changes each semester. It includes Gutman-owned library books, professors' copies of books, photocopied articles, chapters, papers (reprints), tests from the Reserve Test Collection, videos and cassettes. Faculty needing to place materials on reserve should read Course Reserves in the Faculty Services section of this site. What may I check out and for how long?
Reserve items may be checked out overnight no earlier than one hour before closing (Library Hours). Reserve items checked out overnight are due at 9:30am Monday-Friday, at 10:00am on Saturday, and at 1:00pm on Sunday. How do I check out reserve items?Search for the book, reprint, test, video, or DVD on the course homepage accessible via MyGSE. Record the course number, author, title, and call number, and present this information, along with a valid Harvard ID, at the Reserve Desk. Can I place a hold on a reserve item?Reserve materials may not be held for users. Circulation is on a first-come, first-served basis. How much are overdue fines?The fine on overdue reserve materials is $1.00 per hour; all fines are rounded up to the next whole dollar, and there is a $25.00 maximum. |
