Center is seeking applicants who have not previously had an opportunity
to attend a TPC
institute.
The Principals’ Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education
is pleased to announce it is accepting applications for its Principals
Scholar Program for the summer 2008 TPC programs.
In support of outstanding
principals, The Principals’ Center will make available a limited
number of scholarships to attend summer institutes
at
the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
As part of the commitment of The Principals’ Center to “Invest
in the Best,” we are seeking applicants who have demonstrated outstanding
performance, as evidenced by extraordinary improvement in school performance,
success in closing the achievement gap, local or national recognition for
his or her school, and personal reward or recognition.
Scholarship recipients may be asked to engage in ongoing work with The Principals’ Center
and/or the Harvard Graduate School of Education. This could include serving
as a mentor principal for a HGSE student, providing a setting for writing
a case study, or other collaborative work as mutually agreed by the scholarship
recipient, The Principals’ Center, and the Harvard Graduate School
of Education.
In addition to the application, applicants are asked to provide two letters
of recommendation, one of which must be from the district superintendent.
